Natasha Ray's most recent full time TV Reporter job was at Indiana's FOX 28 News, located in Elkhart Indiana. She was optimistic about getting the opportunity to be back in the community of her Alma Mater Andrews University. Prior to FOX 28, Natasha spent nearly two years at ABC 7 in Jackson Tennessee. There she was a general assignment reporter. While at ABC 7, she has gotten the opportunity to cover a variety of stories from car accidents to the nationally recognized murder trial of Mary Winkler. She has also been featured on the Oxygen TV Network Series entitled Snapped. She was featured on this show because she was the youngest reporter to cover this high profile case from 2006-2007. While working at ABC 7 her daily duties included shooting, writing and editing all of her work. Before working at ABC 7, Natasha worked as a News Trainee at FOX 5 Atlanta.
Her responsibilities included writing scripts, logging video, and assisting in the field. While working at FOX 5 Atlanta she got the opportunity to assist in the field while working on the highly televised Sullivan murder trial. She also got to assist in the field while covering Coretta Scott King’s funeral also in Georgia. Natasha has interned at WDIV-TV 4 in Detroit where she got to shadow a veteran Reporter who was working on the Jimmy Hoffa Story. Also, while working at WDIV-TV she got to meet President Bush during his Michigan Campaign. Natasha also had the opportunity to witness the Detroit Pistons Championship. She has worked as a One-Man Band Reporter and Producer for WYGN-TV (Andrews University broadcast).
Natasha graduated with a B.A. in Journalism and Communications from Andrews University located in Berrien Springs, Michigan. She was inducted into Lambda Pi Eta (Communications National Honors Society) in 2004. She also was recognized as Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities and Colleges in February 2005.
Natasha longs for a family of her own. She is looking forward to one day getting married and raising a family of her own. But until that day comes she keeps herself busy with many volunterring projects. Mentorship is very close to her heart she works with teens and young adults each week in one capacity or another be it tutoring or just being a "Big Sister". Natasha also gives motivational speeches all across Michigan and Indiana. She has been the keynote speaker at several "Career Day" events ranging from Elementary to University level audiences.
Natasha Ray is currently living in Indiana where she is pursuing her law degree. She enjoys spending time with friends, family and most of all spending time with God. She is a new member of the Praise Fellowship Seventh-day Adventist Praise and Worship Group. Praise Fellowship is located in South Bend, Indiana. The Senior pastor of Praise Fellowship is Pastor Donald Morris. Pastor and Sister Morris have been married for 39 years. The lord has blessed them with three beautiful daughters. Even though Natasha was born and raised Seventh-day Adventist she still shares her music ministry at two First Day churches. Every other Sunday Natasha sings at Church of God and Christ and at a Small Baptist Church near her home. Natasha enjoys sharing her music ministry! Cooking is also a passion of this very Ambitious and driven young lady. She credits many of her cooking skills to her father who taught her many of the dishes she cooks. She also babysits and braids hair in her spare time.
